The Food-Friendliest American Colleges: Sure, there are usually plenty of dining options just beyond the limits of a college campus, but the food offered on campus is just as important (especially when you’re a car-less foodie freshman). The Daily Meal has compiled a list of the best colleges for food, including Brigham Young University, which has a full-service grocery store, and University of Chicago, which offers vegan, kosher, halal, and gluten-free dining options.

How Swedish is the Swedish Chef?: According to Swedes, not very. The bumbling, shot-gun wielding chef of Muppet fame known for his unintelligible but vaguely Scandinavian ramblings is an affront to the national identity of Swedes, writes Jeremy Stahl at Slate—whose wife is one of the Swedes who take offense. The origin of the chef character is unclear, despite claims to have been the inspiration by a real Swedish chef, Lars Kuprik Backman. Linguistic research, tonal variations, and defensive Swedes will tell you that the muppet sounds more Norwegian.
